McGraw-Hill Wonders Reading is used in grades third through fifth in Norfolk Public Schools. Wonders Reading is a reading program that helps build a strong reading foundation, uses text evidence to prove the answer to reading questions, students learn to access complex text, and engage in conversation about the reading. This program has a digital component that will allow students to use technology at school and at home.
This year Wonders Reading will be piloted in second grade at Bel-Air and Jefferson. These schools are excited to pilot this program.
Wonders allows the students to have group reading lessons as well, as well as small reading groups that are at each students own reading level.
